One level up

The first picture. Do you see the H316? Not? There must be a strange place outside somewhere. Called Nortex... Why don't we have this kind of surplus dealers in Germany?

This is André with the H316R, still in the Nortex storage.

This box arrived today in Alfeld. What might be inside?

Hey, ebayers around the world! Look at this package! That's the way it has to be done!

First view of the machine. Wow! It's cleaner than my first one!
Has anybody seen a H316 CPU with all 16 cards before?

The four memory modules, back in place. At the left there's a peripheral I have not yet identified. Help!

This big block is also still unidentified. If someone has a clue what it could be... On the backplane is written "IOW". Please help!

  The card cage. Complete.. :-)

The ASR interface. One F-04 chip is physically damaged. Who can help me with spares? I don't have another F-04 chip. Or should I try to rebond it??? Hm.....

See the "microcircuit"... I'm sure that a hardware designer with a microscope can simply draw the schematic of this chip by simply looking at it. Nice!

That's the way the IC looked BEFORE something destroyed it.

The front panel at home. Andre has wisely removed the original sticker before shipping. The sticker (look above) told about the military origin of the machine. Perhaps not too good for highly motivated customs staff...

Another kind of not easy to replace bulbs...

I think that the power taps are not original. But now they're there. And they don't look awful. So they'll stay.

Top of the machine with CPU cards and memory removed. The parts were just successfully performing CCT4 processor test while the photograph was taken.

The backside. Cool connectors. I think I will remove all of them because it will be impossible to find these connectors. And IF they can be found - they still can't be paid, I'm sure.
But I will keep them safely, of course :-)
